What happens during the free consultation?

During the consultation, you will be able to ask any questions you have about therapy in general and in particular with your clinician. Your clinician will provide you some initial information about practice policies. If you and the clinician are a good match, you will be provided intake documentation through your secure portal account. A Diagnostic Evaluation can be scheduled once all intake documentation is completed.

Do I have to complete an initial consultation?

Yes, The Coping Corner believes it is in the best interests of the patient and the clinician to assess for goodness of fit before beginning the work.

How can I obtain intake documentation?

Complete a Free Phone Consultation and the information will be provided after.

What payments methods are accepted?

We accept Credit, Debit, FSA and HSA cards. Session fees, including copays and coinsurance, are due at the time of service; and are processed with Stripe through your HIPPA compliant portal.

How do I schedule appointments?

Scheduling occurs through your secure, HIPPA Compliant, Patient Portal account. Click below to schedule a free consultation or go to the scheduling tab and click "New Patients."

Where do appointments take place?

The Coping Corner is a virtual practice; all appointments take place via secure teletherapy. Patients are required to be in the states of Maryland or Delaware during the time of service.

How long are appointments?

Individual Appointments are scheduled in 60 minute increments.

How often will i have session?

As a general rule of thumb, new patients are encouraged to meet weekly for 1 to 3 months; before transitioning to biweekly and/or monthly sessions. However, therapy is not one size fits all; the patient and clinician will work together to determine how often therapy is needed.
